What charities accept (& will pick up) furniture donations?

salvation army always picks up donations for free.
Pretty sure Purple Heart accepts furniture. I know they pickup.
If not, sell the furniture to a college kid

don’t know about phillie but around here is the Salvation Army and Goodwill organizations. Should be in the phone book.
Check your directory for Goodwill or Salvation Army although in my area they are very particular and will not take any furniture that might have a scratch in it. Call before and ask. Sometimes church or smaller charities are more accepting of just about anything so see in yellow pages under charitable donations what you can find.
I do not know Philadelphia area, but in other communities
Goodwill is always a good bet.
Salvation Army often has a thrift store.
Many communities have Habitat for the Homeless, which builds homes for them, but then what furniture is to go into those homes? Well perhaps if they are building some new homes in your area, they might want to have a volunteer inspect your donation to see if it is suitable to go in one of those homes.
Many charities have retail stores, but not in all communites.
Look up in yellow pages for
SOCIAL & HUMAN SERVICES
for places like The Red Cross, then see which of them have local stores selling second hand furniture
many of them will do pick ups
